He was a great customer over the years. In fact, he bought one of the first Anti-Alien-Abduction models right after Roswell in 1947, I am told. He was also a Beta tester for our Anti-CIA-Mind-Control version in the 1960's. He continued to access a wide variety of our models over the decades since then. Pity that he voided the warranty on his latest purchase which was being leased at the time of violation...we will have to place a lien on his estate, as a result.

 

So, the wife and I went to the grocery store around lunchtime. While we were there, a new load of toilet paper came in. We were not as fast as others (I knew nothing about it; my wife picked up on the opportunity) so we could not get an 8-pack, but did get a 4-pack. All customers were limited to one package. My wife and I could have cheated by each of us going through the line with our own packs, but chose not to. Kind of felt like we had hit the lottery while driving home. Crazy times.

On another note, for my day job, things have really not slowed down at all. Of course, we are in the software industry and our primary customers are military and medical equipment manufacturers, so those industries have not yet had a slowdown in activity. However, during sales calls and web meetings, it seems like the first 5-10 minutes are spent comparing notes and personal experiences during this life-changing event. It reminds me, somewhat, of how it was right after 9/11. Business needed to be done, but we were all in awe of how the world had changed for us and the subject came up immediately in all calls.

 

Get in line, my understanding is that he owes big $$$ to the makers of Viagra and also to the manufacturers of Polygrip. Seems that he had a credit account with both of them.

A word to the wise, get your lawyers to go after his children, as one of them got the tinfoil hat.

 

You just cannot trust people any more. Our tinfoil hats are clearly marked as nontransferable (see the footnote on Page 313 in the users manual.)

 

There is this doctor in NYC that claims that he and his medical team have so far treated about 350 patients by administering Chloroquine with 100% success. What the hell are the feds waiting for? Approve this drug already!!!

 

I thought i had it but it was just a cold, either way i stayed inside for 2 weeks and will continue to do so until this thing blows over. sadly i dont have a job right now..

 

One guy died trying to self medicate with that.

It'll take years- maybe never- it'll always be with us just like the cold. Trick is get a safe efficient cure out on the market asap.

The guy and his wife took Chlorophine Phosphate which is a cleaner used to clean the inside of fish tanks. He made a big mistake and apparently confused the two. One is a drug, the other is a cleaner. On the positive side, the wife is recovering.

 

There is already a vaccine developed, they are just working on trials to be completed and approved by the FDA. Otherwise this vaccine could cause everyone to start loosing their hair, or worse..

"not testing properly in the US?" Are our tests inaccurate? The latest statistic that I heard was that the US did as many tests in the past 8 days as South Korea (which is held up a paragon of testing right now) did in eight weeks. And, it would be great if you could also tell me what the testing will do for anyone at this point, anyway? Other than making nice graphs for the public health data crunchers and "exciting" headlines for the fake news media?

 

There are multiple, potential vaccines being worked on. They will take 12-18 months to go through trials/testing, best case, and will not, therefore, have an impact on the current round of infections.

What are more interesting right now, are the potential drug therapies that have already been approved for other diseases, including the one that @Spoiltdiva keeps mentioning. Those therapies could be brought to bear very quickly and could be a game-changer. Thousands of the Chloroquine/ZPak drugs are being administered in NYC right now because they have been approved for "compassionate use" by the FDA. They seem to be wanting to see how that goes before giving it widespread approval and distribution.

 

Something that I mentioned before was the absolutely horrific results that occurred in the 1950's with a new drug called thalidomide that was widely administered to pregnant women without enough proper testing. It resulted in thousands (maybe more) of horribly deformed babies being born and was a complete nightmare for all involved. That is why such intense restrictions were placed, by law, on the FDA. It is to protect the public from unintended consequences which happen all of the time with new drugs. That is what is slowing down the total release of what appears to be a safe and effective therapy like Chloroquine/ZPak looks to be. The good news is that therapy has already been tested and approved as safe and effective for other diseases, so all that the FDA needs to see is that it is effective for Covid-19 and they will be able to approve its widespread use quickly. Note that it is already approved for compassionate use for the sickest people.

 

I think the trend of fast-tracking over the last few years eliminates some of this protection though.

Here in Indianapolis the E.I.Lily company started giving tests to emergency responders and health workers a couple days ago. It's a drive-through activity.

 

Yes, the pendulum has swung back a bit over the recent years, especially when it comes to therapies for people who are dying, anyway. It's a risk/reward type of calculation and you never know how that is going to work out in the long term. E.g., imagine if it is later discovered that a potential treatment for Covid-19 actually killed more people than it saved? The same fake news media that is bemoaning our "slow" response to anything and everything would be in an uproar over malfeasance on the part of the government for allowing a new drug through too quickly.

 

Here's a test for those of you who rely entirely on the fake news media for your information about the virus: have you heard anything in the past day or two about the mutation rate of the virus that is being observed?

The bad news for the fake news purveyors is that the virus does not seem to be mutating as quickly as other viruses have in the past. This means that therapies and vaccines being worked on now should not have to be modified as the months progress. Goes against the fake news doom and gloom reporting, of course, so you may not have heard anything about this.

 

Does this mean that your tinfoil hats will not need to be modified in the future? This is good news as the one I purchased had to be bought on the black market as they are impossible to find these days. I paid a king's ransom for it!
