Your Kiwi model is particularly interesting. This model claims that the wearers will lose weight. The NZ prime minister used to be over 300 pounds.(145 kilos) Then she started wearing the Kiwi Tinfoil Hat, have you seen her lately?

In the middle of nowhere and on the way to nowhere. Apparently Jeff Bezos was here in February and nobody has seen him since so we're assuming he's laying low in some luxury resort that is allowed to stay open.

Other islands that could have done what NZ has done: UK, Ireland, Sri Lanka, and our Western Island (you probs know it as Australia) - all frittered away their advantage. Same goes for all those Caribbean islands, even Denmark could have closed it's narrow border & isolated from the rest of Europe.

Interestingly, Madagascar has 5 times the population of NZ and significantly more poverty has better stats than NZ.
    upload_2020-4-9_9-10-42.png

As for covid19 travellers - we got locals returning from holidays in Italy, there was a cruise ship, kids returning home from their OE but there's also a lot of travel between NZ and China. This decimated our "international student sector" but there is a lot of business travel too. We have a million Kiwis actually living overseas, and that doesn't count the travellers. A lot of them had to return because they didn't have dual citizenship and their adopted country was either high risk for covid19, or they couldn't afford to stay and not earn.

Part of our success has been that if you can afford a holiday in Italy, or are flying about the place for work, you probably live in a home where it's quite pleasant to quarantine and you're smart enough to want to obey the rules. Then again, I'm forever astounded by the people who lose huge money in online scams - if you're smart enough to save it how are you that dumb?

FWIW my niece had just been home from London for her sister's wedding, flown back, and decided that the UK was too risky so flew back, this time bringing the virus with her. She's lucky, she was able to quarantine at home. From now on you have to be at a hotel under government supervision.

lol, giving birth for instant weight loss

What's even more interesting, is that Madagascar is a listed high risk area for malaria. So it could be, as has been theorized for other African countries that are experiencing surprisingly low infection rates, that a fair percentage of the population has taken hydroxychloroquine for malaria and that is providing protection against the infection.

News reports claim that the baby came out wearing a tinfoil hat. *Might possibly be a false rumor, not sure

You do realise that the issue with hydroxychloroquine isn't a backlash against a cure as much as the irresponsible "what have you got to lose, just take it" approach to it's promotion. If Dr Fauci had said "proceed with caution" frontline Drs would have taken it on board and done exactly that. Instead, they've got a non-medical person pushing it with all his might and Drs are suspicious. Now is not the time to be muddy the waters with irresponsible messaging.

I had a brief spell as a pharma rep in the UK and saw first hand how GPs and hospital Drs work. They're more than happy to go "off script" if a peer has endorsed a therapy. They're highly suspicious of anything a patient requests.

I expect doctors, as trained medical professionals, to not let politics, comments from non-medical personnel, or any other extraneous information to affect how they treat their patients and how they use the best methods available. What I have been complaining about throughout this thread is when politicians get involved to limit doctors' choices. Keep in mind that Trump simply expressed his optimistic opinion; he made no decrees. The leftist governor of NY, however, banned its use by doctors throughout the state for no reason other than Trump Bad. Same with the governor of Michigan until she saw it saving a lot of lives and then begged Trump to send her some.

The second complaint that I have had in this thread has been the lack of coverage by the Fake News media simply because Trump has been openly hoping that it will work and Trump Bad. They are ignoring this news story despite the fact that "cures" or "potential cures" sell newspapers/clicks, so their low-information subscribers really do not understand that this could be a game-changer (operative word "could") which would turn public opinion in a big way and get even more public momentum into finding out. Like their power-crazed, leftist Governor friends, they have chosen to take the chance of letting thousands die without a potentially powerful treatment because Trump Bad, at all costs.

Now, if there are doctors out there that will not be open to a new, promising therapy out of spite or because of who mentioned it first, it is time for them to put on their big-boy or big-girl pants and do their damn job and do it correctly. I would fire my doctor so fast if I had the slightest indication that he was driven by anything other than my best health interests. Except for making sure his pharma reps are well-compensated, of course. ;)

The American people will not be infected by COVID-19 according to the new scriptures published by Li Hongzhi, the master of Falun Dafa whose headquarter the Dragon Springs is located in New York. Li said the outbreak of Covid-19 is directed against the Communist Party of China. Thus only those who are close to the Communist Party of China will be infected. So even if the American people are infected, they can only be the carriers of the virus, but will never die. Therefore, ventilators and masks are unnecessary. As long as everyone practices Falun Dafa, the epidemic will be over soon.

You need to talk to your doctor more.
They will be behind on many therapies and they will misdiagnose because it's impossible for a GP (not sure what they're called in the States, your main Dr that you go to first) to be up to date on every malady, every drug, every side effect. I expect my GP to use their computer to look up contraindications and I expect to be referred to a specialist when a condition is more complex than they can handle. Equally, I expect my specialist to need to look up contraindications of their recommended drug to something prescribed a different type of specialist. Then there are the doctors who have one bad experience with a drug and won't prescribe it again because they're terrified of being sued (luckily not something we worry about down here).

So not "the American people", just Americans who follow Falun Dafa?
Seems a bit cold not to save everyone.

Then again, the Christians are no better

In this particular case, thanks to Trump, in fact, if my doctor or my vet or my milkman was not aware of Covid-19 and Choloroquine, I would be amazed. However, if I am in the ICU on a ventilator, my GP will not likely be there. My ER doctor at the time had better know about Hydroxycholorquine or he is fired! :)

Have I mentioned my new affiliate program? ;)

In an extreme case such as this, I would think special care in selecting the correct tin foil hat is an absolute necessity.

I mean, is there even a tin foil model that can help someone so far gone? jrbiz?

I would suggest the Napoleonic "Vive la France" model. *this model should be worn sideways

By the way, the stay-at-home order is only hard the first 5 years, then it gets easier. Now you know.

This fellow should be talking to our Custom Tinfoil Hat division's engineering team. It will undoubtedly require some advanced scientific study and engineering. But, we have not failed yet, so there is hope, no matter how slight.

A very good choice as long as he does not mind keeping one hand tucked into his jacket at all times. It is especially effective on the island of Elba, by the way.

My Dad used to say that hard work is fun when you get used to it. It may take 30 or 40 years, but you will get used to it. ;)

My Dad said the same thing for years. Then he got distracted by the "Work smarter not harder" crowd...

Yeah, that crowd sure makes that approach sound compelling. But it seems to me that the only option these days is, "Work smarter AND harder..."

I was speaking generally. Doctors are not up to date on all therapies.

If your state was to withdraw from the union how would that work with so much of the population crossing state lines constantly?

Here is a good news story. In Italy a 102 year old woman has recovered from Covid-19. Also in Nutley, Essex county New Jersey, Jeanette Arlotta has also recovered. She will be 107 this Saturday.

One has to wonder if both have the longevity model tinfoil hat?

I don't believe they have time to be up to date. Doctors are so rushed these days.

It's not like Massachussettes hasn't pulled a withdrawal stunt before.
