You need to keep us posted, especially regarding restaurants. Now that they can be full, will they be full? Or will a sizable chunk of the public still stay away? I have heard restaurant people wondering about that here in New England.

You might watch what happened when the movie theaters reopened elsewhere, basically empty at the start. It might indicate what will happen in the restaurant industry at least initially.

Granted food is more important than entertainment, but it could be an indicator of comfort levels especially if the public realizes how USELESS masks are.

The WHO has recently finished with some research that strongly indicates that wearing masks creates some immunity to Covid-19. The theory is that even the best mask will let in around 0.5 % microscopic droplets. Not enough to seriously infect you right away, but enough that your body will have time to build antibodies and create an immunity. I for one will keep wearing my mask.;)

Both the CDC and WHO lack credibility with me due to their stumbling and bumbling vis-a-vis this so-called crisis. Not saying their research is wrong, just saying that until the research is peer reviewed by credible organizations and known to be accurate, I will just assume that it MIGHT be another stumble or bumble.

Some of the older members of DP may recall the strict lockdowns imposed to counter the 1957 and the 1968 virus pandemics. Oh, you don't recall those pandemics? That is surprising when you look at the comparative mortality statistics:

    2020 Covid-19 virus: 11 deaths per 100,000

    1968 H3N2 virus: 30 deaths per 100,000

    1957 H2N2 virus: 57 deaths per 100,000

Oh, that's right, Trump was not president back then, so no need for shutdown hysteria fueled by panic porn whose main purpose is to destroy the best economy the world has ever seen in a blatant attempt to thwart Trump's re-election. In fact, most people didn't even know they were in a pandemic those previous years because it was just another flu. Well, let's not let facts get in the way of a good political hoax. Just keep hiding in your caves, wearing your masks and virtue signaling.

I guess the fact its new and unknown how it behaves is the biggest threat...I guess thats the reason why there is no second lockdown, because at least now they have more information to know how to control it...but at the beggining there was none and spread was quick and in some parts hospitals were overwhelemed....now I guess countried can be better prepared taking lockdowns in regions rather than whole country.

Somebody from Chicago sent this to me, but it is exactly the same in Rhode Island. No idea who wrote this originally:

Going to the Restaurant Under Covid-19 Guidelines

    1. Arrive at restaurant, fish three month old single-use surgical mask out of car's filthy cupholder (still slightly sticky from this morning's 84oz diet Pepsi).

    2. Strap up with three month old single-use surgical mask.

    *MAGICAL ANTI-GERM BARRIER ENGAGED!!!*

    3. Proceed into restaurant, opening door with same handle grabbed by 200 people so far today.

    4. Hostess has immediate seating for your woke party of three. Walk past entire restaurant of unmasked people. It's ok, they're sitting.

    5. Sit down.

    *SEATED ANTI-GERM FORCEFIELD ENGAGED!!!*

    6. Safely within your anti-germ forcefield, remove mask. Browse menu while making relaxed inhales of the same recirculated AC air previously inside the lungs of the 200 people that also grabbed the door handle.

    7. Waitress drops off drinks bare handed.

    8. Grab drink with your bare hand. Sip leisurely, secure in knowing you're within your anti-germ forcefield of seatedness.

    9. Too many drinks. Need to pee. Don the magical anti-germ barrier mask as you leave your anti-germ forcefield of seatedness.

    10. Walk past 40 unmasked restaurant patrons. Open bathroom with same door knob grabbed by 100 other people so far today.

    11. Return to table past same 40 unmasked restaurant patrons.

    12. Remove mask. Once again safe in your anti-germ forcefield of seatedness. Waitress takes your sweaty drink glass with her bare hand, refills, hands back to you. You accept with your bare hand. Grab some bread and eat it. Same hand. Yum Yum.

    13. Meal complete. Mask on. Walk past 40 unmasked patrons. Make full body contact with at least 4 people waiting at the hostess stand as you squeeze your way back to the door - no matter, they're all also wearing their magical anti-germ barriers.

    14. Grab exit handle, which you are now the 220th person of the day to touch. Eating out successful.

    15. Breathe a sigh of relief knowing that even after leaving the protection of your home and venturing out into the scary world of the public, you are essentially sterile thanks to your state approved methods of magical germ mitigation.

That's the plan here in the U.S. Irrational fear and over-reaction is what the massive PR campaign has been all about. Take heart, however, as the need for this will end with the election on November 3rd.

There's moving the goalposts and then there's moving the goalposts, but what has been going on here in the U.S. with the FakeNews/Democrats/Swamp has set the bar at a new height:

First, back in March, we needed to shutdown for just 15 days to flatten the curve...

Then, we needed 15 more days to flatten the curve...

Then, we needed to keep the shutdown going until the summer...

By the way, all therapies are bad, especially if Trump mentions one of them...

Then, we needed to go through the summer to prevent flare-ups...

Then, we needed to continue the shutdown until a vaccine is developed...

Now, we should not trust the vaccine, especially if it comes out before the election...

Here are the three Covid=19 survival steps.

    Step 1: Wear a mask
Step 2: Get the vaccine *when available
Step 3: Wear your Corona model tinfoil hat

Never mind Dr.Fauci, never mind Trump, never mind Biden. Just follow my 3 steps and live!

I might add that the recent NASA probe landing on an asteroid has taken some focus off of the virus by rightfully raising concerns about Cosmic and Demonic Brain Control Waves. So, I will humbly suggest that your Deluxe Coronavirus Tinfoil Hat be nested with our Cosmic and Demonic Brain Control Wave Tinfoil Hat to cover all bases.

The news coming out of Russia today in regards to their Sputnik vaccine is not very good. For some reason which has not been explained, the Russians are having problems mass producing this Covid-19 vaccine. As of today only 17,000 Russians have received the vaccine. Out of this number only 6,000 have received the secondary booster shot.

Hopefully the Russians can fix these production problems and get this thing out there. I wish them luck as well as to any nation with a vaccine.

I heard in passing on TV that some vaccine experts are encouraged that the virus does not seem to be mutating in a way that would negatively impact the current mRNA vaccines in trials. Apparently, they are viewed as the most promising ones here.

As to the Chinese vaccine the Chinese are being tight lipped about it. However an American news team traveled to the epicenter of the Covid-19 virus, namely the city of Wuhan a few days ago. This city of 11 million people has completely returned back to normal. No one is wearing masks, no social distancing, and all the markets, shops, pubs, eateries etc. are all open.

It appeared to the news team that the entire city had been vaccinated. Outside of Wuhan people are still being mandated to practice Covid-19 protocol as to masks and social distancing. It does seem that the Chinese do believe in their new vaccine and are getting on with vaccinating their population. But with around 1.5 billion people it will take them a long time to roll it all out.
