    Hi can you help me,

    I am using a CMS to develop a new web site and would like to integrate both a directory script and a forum script. They would both be set up on different databases and I was wondering which was the correct convention?

    Should I set the site up along the lines of forum.mysitename.com or mysitename.com/forum?

    Does it make any difference and if so why?

    I've heard going with subdomains have their advantages with SEO for google y todo... Then again, they're more complex to setup, and some scripts can get pretty picky about that.
