Could I sell ad slots for a website with 3000 unique visitors a month?

Hi everyone,

My website http://www.thecelebcenter.com/ has on average 100 unique visitors a day. The site is almost 2 months old. So my question to you is, could I sell my own ad slots on www.buyandsellads.com? Would it be worth it, or would anybody by them? I have AdSense as my main advertising system right now, but it isn't making much. I was wondering if I could make more on my own. you could probably have your site listed for banner buy/sell section on popular IM forums and test the water out.
If your traffic converts, you could potentially make more than what you're making through adsense currently

From your stat,I don't think got people wanna buy ads at your site.

My suggestion for you is need to have at least 600 UV/day then only start sell ads.

 

Yeah, with an average visitor count of 100 uniques per day, imagine a Click-Through-Rate (CTR) of 5% (which is high!) the advertiser would only get 5 visitors per day, 150 per month.

It's not worth the risk to buy ads with that little amount of expected visitors. The smaller your site is, the more instable it becomes, just a few less visitors per day gives high percentage losses and thus increase the risk of any ad purchased at a fixed price.

No serious ad buyer would buy from you before you have some more traffic. 5 visitors more or less is too little to care about and thus only introduces an unnecessary risk for me as an advertiser. No one will be interested with that small traffic amount, it's not worth the time nor the potential troubles.

Yes!! You can create at least 7-8 ad slots and publish your site on buysell ads
then you can earn atleast 100-150$/month for sure

 

Buy Sell Ads are getting very picky, not sure why did not they approved me? As I have a very clean website. Am I doing anything wrong?

 

You could search for relevant websites on google and ask the owners of the websites if they are interested in purchasing ads on your site. You could also get into affiliate marketing and put up banner ads on your site that way to.

If those 100 visitors are highly targetted and have spending power, and an advertiser could "make use of them" then sure!

I also agree that 100 visitors wont cut it.

Most sites I see that's charging $20 per small box are getting at least 1k visitors a month.

 

On replying to ZXT, I am getting 3000+ a month 100 visitors/day(unique/notunique).

 

My bad. I meant 1k visitors a day. So that means around 30k visitors a month.

My site is averaging only 150 visitors/day or around 4 to 5k a month and I only got my first ad space sell last week. Although I haven't really looking for one but someone contacted me and ask if a space available for ads. I think I'm just completely lucky and also maybe the PR3 on my site ads some value to the space/link they bought.

I think that you should at least try. Just be careful and don't put the price tag too high.
