Ummmmm... I like country but not Kenny Rogers. I do like Bob Wills, Hank Williams Sr., and Emmylou Harris (though she's now gone alt). I also like Bob Dylan's "country" stuff from the late 60s. And, though I hate to admit it, I like some of Dolly Parton's recent bluegrass CDs.

But don't quote me on that. I'll deny it.

I like that one. Other than that, I've never gotten into country that much ...

 

I love it too.. I have this different taste.. sometimes I like rock sometimes, jazz.. new wave..

 

I'm a fan too. I like more pop country than regular country though, I'm an alternative fan at heart and only recently started enjoying the country hits...

 

I grew up in a very "ghetto" town and have always loved rap. Then I moved to Kentucky and everyone loved country, so I had to follow suit (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em). Now I like a combination, but am getting into more classic rock and oldies.

No matter the genre, I think there is good music everywhere. Well rounded is the best way to go IMO.

Yes, I've been sucked into listening (just like everbody else) to this stuff they call music. My bad.

 

The 80's music was wofal, they used synths than instruments!! haha i laugh at them!

Ok, so I like some old stuff... Kenny, Willie, Eddie Rabbit.. Those Mandrel sisters and their goofy show... Anything new, start feeling like I should buy a double wide, watch NASCAR and pick up chics at the next family reunion...

 

I used to think the same thing. I like it because of the story telling and fun aspect. I'm certainly the fartherest from being country or redneck (I HATE Nascar). But that may be why I like it.

It's funny when people look at my CD collection.

Notorious B.I.G., Kenny Chesney, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Staind, Garth Brooks, 2pac, The Eagles....all mixed together, just for the reaction.

 

How could I forget Johnny Cash? He did loads of great stuff: "Ring of Fire", "Folsom Prison Blues", "I Walk the Line", his album "Bitter Tears". He always rode a fine line between country and rock.
