you don't have to buy a forum script you can simply download something like mybb or phpbb and upload it to your server. Install it and you have yourself a forum! I would recommend myBB as it is pretty much a free version of vbulletin and has loadsa mods and stuff so that you can make it better!

    Good luck!

this one uses vbulletin, and yes its pretty easy. You can chose the look from hundreds of different options and you can customize it if you know enough about coding. Or you could pay someone but its your choice. I find it quite easy to install the mods and I am only 16! :D

Buy hosting who was supported by fantastico cpanel. You can choose engine like myBB or phBB to install in your hosting.

I think you mean go with justhost.com they have a cpanel which allows you to easily install these forums with 1 click. I haven't used them myself but the next website I get will be with them! But if you already have hosting you will still have to do it yourself.

I wouldn't recommend wordpress for what you have in mind. I have quite a bit of experience with wordpress and don't know any way of doing what you said.

you would have to find some sort of software that lets you do this. Or write it yourself. But I am sure you will be able to find one, just do a quick google search or something! :D

You would need some pretty dedicated members to get it going. I would have said you don't but its up to the niche I suppose. For instance I used to develop games and the forums I was active on had a blog ability! :D so it might be good for your visitors but you will have to decide!

its looks very professional and well done however I believe that the website logo could be a bit bigger and more prominent. But other than that it looks great.

I would just go with a forum to be honest. It means that people can freely talk about certain things and you could always put up a blogging section on the forum.

if i install a forum, will it sync with my current website...meaning some forums you have to log in again...will my users have to log in again to view the forum or will the forum recognize that the user is already logged into the site...does that make sense? i dont wan the user to have to log in twice to access the forum...just once

While most of what i say has been said before, check(google):
Vbulletin - Paid software but considered by most to be the best
SMF - Community based, so lots of free themes and mods. (as well as being free)
PHPBB - I don't like, But other people do. Also free.

vB only can be used on the licensed domain.
If you want to use at your own domain, then you need to buy license from vB.

I believe (and I stand to be corrected) that host with cpanel have the ability to create your own forums quite easily. I think hostgator have.

Check with your host they may have something ideal for you.

One of the problems I could see with not making your visitors log in in that you may get a lot of spam and you have no way of contacting or controlling them.
