    Hi

Do you think is a great idea to raise funds on kickstarter or indiegogo for a tech/software/hardware/web business? if you go on those platforms, Do you think the business can lose creditability with potential costumers and/or current costumers?

It all comes down to marketing and your current followers. Kickstarter does not bring you customers rather most of the successful kickstarter programs already had a following they just tapped it to raise the funds.

I think it can help to raise awareness of your product, if done poorly you can do damage as well.

Your are a business, people expect you to look, sound and feel a certain way - A good looking website gives an appearance like you have it all together..regardless of the truth.

    it all depend .

is really almost the same . just that you do not see the channel on one . and the other you create a direct pre-sale like kickstarter .

those people who pay is expecting you to deliver .

so if you have a sure product .

you should consider what scale you want to go .

both can end up in the same direction when you get funding from kickstarter and then grown big enough to attract more investment

We love this concept and even our customers. We are selling kickstarterclones at KICKSTARTERCLONE DOT NET and we have everyday at least 3 sales. Think this will proof that it is a very big business.

I think you should check out the projects on 'kick started' and see whats related, that has been successful in getting the funding. But, if anything it doesn't hurt to try.
