CTR 0.06% - No Idea Why My Performance Is SO BAD ? HELP !

Hi,

This is my first post so a big hello to everyone.

I have worked hard advertising my site and driving traffic to it.

I now receive around 350 visitors every day to my directory websitejoint.com

I have being trying to monetize it using Adsense for months now but to no avail.

I seem to be going nowhere. My regular DAILY stats. are:

Approx.2000 page impressions
1 click
Page CTR 0.06%

Surely even with my level of traffic, which I know is still quite low, I should be able to do better than this.

I get an average of 80 submissions a day and I believe my ads are very targeted to my audience.

If someone could have a look at my site and advise me it would stop me pulling my hair out.

I suggest you move the bottom ads to the center, mean before the "Featured URLs in this directory". At the same time, move the top banner down abit (after your page link) and change the background to white colour

I have now changed the backround colour to white as suggested.

Ads in the footer I will move higher up.

I am working on alittle more content towards the top into which I will be able to include another ad.

Please everyone give me more feedback warts and all. I should be getting a better CTR of 0.06% with 2000 page impressions per day.

Hello...

Google doesnt pay very well depending on niches and general directories are probably at the bottom
as its mostly submitters and webmasters that have been trained never to click adsence ads unless
its 100% interesting and even then they probably wont.

I would do as life player suggests and if that dont work then you might want to try another advertiser.
