What can I do to improve it? My site lets users change between three color schemes, so it's difficult for me to get the ads to blend in.

    Hey,

    Ok a few things...

Maybe you dont let users change colour schemes! Pick one layout and stick with it! :)

Firstly your site takes almost 10 seconds to completely load. this will drive away people who wont even see your ads!

Secondly, I would change the banner in the content for a large square - and make in blend - no borders, get the colour to match your font.

Thirdly, I would make both your sky scrapers borderless and make the headings blue so they look like traditional hyperlinks. if possible put them higher up the page aswell.

Hope these suggestions help, just my two cents :)

Here's a good tip, remove the borders by using WHITE, also the Ads by Google background WHITE.

If it gives results, you owe me 1$ :D

Try placing an ad unit at the bottom of the page.

Instead of that 428x60 banner, implement a large rectangle inside the post to the left and wrap the post content around it.

or, put that rectangle after the first post, get the first post up top, then a big rect. then the later posts...I sdo agree tho, get rid of the 468x60, you have the right idea putting one there, thats just a poorly converting size.
