    More or less the Override system is:

    Create folders for your custom template and copy the changed files to them. All you need then is includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to identify your template. You can then select it from admin->tools->template selection.

    Once this is done whenever an upgrade comes out you don't lose all of your mods/hacks.

    I'm using Fantastico as well and am looking for an excuse to use CubeCart. I've worked with OSCommerce and ZenCart but was curious about CubeCart. Are there any CubeCart fanatics here?

    What do you mean 'again'? Where did you say it last time, and why is Cubecart the better option? It's not much use to people if you just say something is better without telling them why.

    My personal choice is Magento. It's the best ecommerce solution if you are serious about your webstore because Magento development is the only open source technology which offers complete flexibility and control over the look, content, and functionality of an Online Store.

    I tried OScommerce, but I did not like it. Probably one of the best free ecommerce solution/shopping cart is PrestaShop.
