    Prioritywise, Facebook, Twitter, Digg, StubmbleUpon. But you can change your priority for different type of websites, however I suggest to stick to at least these ones, no matter what type of buisness you have.

    I think the biggest has got to be Facebook. I see a lot of sites adopting Twitter though, I really must give that a try sometime!

    Facebook is the social network. Start with a page there. It's the #1 in traffic, wide userbase and very professional fan pages offered. The tools they have is great. You can add some stumbleupon bookmarking for extra visitors, and twitter for followers.

    your facebook pages can auto-post your updates to yourlinked twitter accounts, making these twitter accounts run on auto!

    Very practical.

    Use these and you're good for free traffic and recognition.
