"Cursed years" of marriage?

I have several friends right now who are in the middle of divorce. I was talking to one friend who is in the middle of a messy divorce and she told me that an attorney told her that he sees so many couples who are in their 3rd, 7th, 10th or 13th year of marriage when things sort of break down.

He went on to say that 17 and 22 are the next most common years for divorce. So, are these really "cursed years" as he said, or do you think it's more of a normal ebb and flow? Interesting, to say the least.

I have heard about the 7th year crisis. Most of the marriages don't survive the 7th anniversary. It is said that humans have cycles. This cycles are related to the complete change of all the cell from our body. It means that every 7th year cycle we have a new body. Maybe the crisis is related to deal with a new self.
But I guess if you built a strong relationship and work every day to strengthen it, the possibility to keep your couple is higher.

You are right in your analysis and this rate of marriage conflicts resulting in divorce are increasing.
People consider marriage as a game in the beginning and are not ready to compromise a bit for each other as differences grow out.
