Custom Designs for CMS?

    Hey everyone,

    I just wanted to check and see if anyone gets custom designs done for their CMS systems or if you just use premade free ones that everyone else already has? I know some people want custom designs that look like actual websites and not just blogs. Just checking to see what everyone elses thoughts are about custom CMS designs here?

    CMS customization itself is a big part of freelance industry. As the codebase is free, the production cost becomes much cheaper when compared to hand coded sites. Benefit being ready made 3rd party extensions freely available.

    ok, so do you think that custom designs are a need in cms use, or do people just use the premade free templates? I myself would think that custom designs would probibly work out better.

    I have never used a default template, I've always created a custom template

    the closes I've come to re-using is picking a template or site out there that I admire, and borrowing/adapting elements to my theme
