Hi all i seem to have a problem i am getting loads of emails from customers from another auction site so this morning i have had 7 the problem is i think my site bidup.org is getting confused with the tv auction site bidup.tv and customers from bidup.tv are emailing me with there problems one email looked like this.

Comments: I would like to know why I was charged an extra £3.00 last night
    >>when I was trying to bid for an item. I have shopped with bidup on many
    >>occasions and never had this problem before, just because I come from
    >>N.Ireland, I can assure you that no other company charges extra postage
    >>because we live across the water, there is no difference in the postal
    >>system for ordinary mail (I have confirmed that) so why should bidup
    >>charge extra. I believe that is discrimination and would like a response
    >>before I take this further.

    My reply was

    >Sorry to hear that could you please tell me what item you bought or bidded
    >on as bidup do not charge anything to sell or buy. If you bought an item on
    >bidup from a seller please include the item number you bought and the
    >sellers username so i can look into it for you.
    >
    >Also to speed the matter up and have a quick response please include your
    >bidup id only.
    >
    >Regards
    >Andrew
    >BidUp

    Is reply

Hi Andrew thank-you for your quick response. The item was from your t.v.
show broadcast at ten o'clock last night I'm sorry I do not have the item
number but it was for a set of nine beany babies which was for my daughter
the price was £13.00 plus £6.99 postage. When i spoke to the operator she
told me I would have to pay £9.99 postage, I declined and asked to speak to
the supervisor, who then told me because I lived in Northern Ireland I would
have to pay an extra £3.00. I tried to explain that I have never come
across this rule before but she was having none of it. I was spoken to like
I was a child and did not appreciate it. The seller was mad Mike, and would
it be safe enough to give you my user id over the net? Hope to hear from you
    soon.

So my question is this how do i stop this or is it impossible as i am getting to many emails all about the same thing from diffrent bidup.tv customers

I would draft up a letter that you can send as a cut and paste everytime you get one of these that states you aren't the service selling things on TV. I would include the phone number for BidUp.tv in it and maybe an advert for yourself at the bottom.

Whatever you do, resist the temptation to mess with these people as that would have lawsuit written all over it.
