Cyber Monday

Well, this monday is the real kick off of the online xmas sales, known as Cyber Monday..

Does anyone have any real practical experience of this 'new' phenomenon ?

All of my sites are B2B but I usually see some fallout from holiday shopping. I'll have to see what happened last year.

In fact, today has been HUGE for me in terms of traffic AND sales.

 

I always get 2x3 times the traffic, more page views per person and better conversions usually from around now until dec 17 -20 ish when it peaks. - on retail sites.

I never noticed it was one specific day though. This year Ill be watching.

 

Same here. Last year day after thanksgiving sucked for traffic and sales. this year, I've almost done 100 orders so far. Awesome for any friday.

 

Hmmm, hopefully it continues all season.

It's just really strange for my sites because, like I said, they're B2B and typically people don't buy unless they're at the office.

 

I'm seeing pretty strong traffic today and great sales. Looks like I need to extend my weekend promotion through Monday. The items are sell are fairly expensive so one sale can skew things dramatically. Monday should be interesting.

Thursday and Friday were the 2 slowest days... since last turkey day

 

My traffic and sales seem to be cyclical, don't know if it is going to be effected by Cyber Monday or not, but then I'm not retail, so that's a consideration. I get most of my sales from Europe anyway.

 

What a day so far!

Main site last monday: 59 orders (about avg.)
Today: 88 already!

I did not see anywhere near this type of volume (increase) last year on this day.

 

(I was gonna ask how your monday turned out after your friday, but I didn't wanna be nosey LOL)

I kicked ass too,

Sites last monday: 72
Today: 117 (at 6 pm) - about 140 now

Me neither. I don't think I increased last year till beginning of december at the earliest.

Shipped out 190 boxes today too. Never ever shipped out that many at once.

What a wonderful phenomenon!

Some of these orders are quite large too. And none of them are "gifts" in any way shape or form.

I'm afraid to log into my Adwords account.

 

Final total for yesterday: 164 orders. Best day I've ever had. Almost 30,000 PVs too which totalled about $450 in adsense on top. Woohoo. Did my online banking this morning, I love when the balance grows by 50% in 1 day LOL

Record day for me too- in terms of order volume and traffic.

Sales were very good but nowhere near a record. Lots of new customers too.

DA must still be counting his $$$$$!

 

Wow, yesterday was just plain great. Yesterday's sales were 14.5% of what I did in all of October

That's awesome! I think it bodes well for a very profitable christmas this year. Feels weird, cuz today is pretty busy too, but nothing like yesterday and now I'm bored
