    What's the deal with this ?
    At least youtube has some advertising to cover costs... But this is also a very popular video website that must be very expensive to run. The whole point is to let people embed the videos in their blogs or websites without paying for the bw costs.
    Is it all about name branding and payoff in the long run ?

    My only guess would be they are building up their traffic, then they will start advertising with some heavy hitters.
