I think I did most of the above. Air pistols (is that the same as a bb-gun?) drawn at 10 paces, except you turned around at 7 or 8 and waited for the other guy. Bike jumps, skateboarding to destruction, rope swings above huge overhangs, rope swing jumps where you had to swing across a stream, let go and try to get to the other bank. Then there was dart-throwing where you had to throw darts at each other from a distance. The idea was to stay still no matter how close the dart got. If you moved you were chicken, although if you moved after the dart hit you, that was ok.

Tried to do long jump over the top of 2 garages when I was about 6, needless to say my 2 front teeth where supposed to be stuck to the roof of my mouth not the top of my knee.

Throwing yourself down the stairs face first was fun too at the time although you got some manic carpet burns from the friction.

Only other thing was playing with Kendo sticks when I was about 8, me and my friend both had very busted up knuckles after that bit of fun.

    I did a few things...

Once when I was 3/4 my brothers thought it would be a great idea to attach a shopping basket the the handlebars of a bike, put me in it and see how fast we could go.

I fell out and skidded my chin along the ground... Still got the scar.

And this other time, my parents had bought me come caps for my cap gunm but when we got home I couldn't find the gun anywhere - so I found a hammer and nails and used that instead.

Hehe - I lots the top couple of mills of my finger and only ever used the gun ever since.

Lots more stuff... Like just wandering off when we were in a restaurant or something... I used to just get up from the table and sit with random couples or people and have dinner with them instead of my parents.

This one time I did it, spent the whole meal sitting with this couple - [my parents must have been so embarrased] - anyway, when my mum came to get me from them once I'd finished eating or whatever, the couple told her that the guy was emigrating to America or something and this was their last night together... Harsh.

I once had a meal with Kenny Everett too... He was cool.

Yeah, loads of stuff... Being a kid was fun, although I am so lucky I was never abducted or anything, because I used to just wander off all the time.

Just quick flashback from my childhood. I liked seeing and building things, So...

    - I once tried making a flame thrower. It worked somewhat, but I had to up the anty and make it highly mobile. Thought it would be cool to bike mount it. It mounted ok, no problems, but during speed tests(we started out very low speed) the burning liquid didn't come out with a lot of power. Meaning the bike rider would actually start riding through the fire stream while it was still in mid-air.

After one charred tire and driver, we figured we would move on to the next project.

LOL as a kid I was very sweet. The most dangerous stuff I did as a kid was I jumped off a 5' wall. lol
but when I was about.......14 I blew off one of my neighbour's Garage door completely with three of my home made bombs. lol
I used simple fireworks to make those bombs.but the explosion was huge. It just knocked off his door.
But aftermath was scary, my neighbour thought it was some kind of terrorist attack so he called police lucily I escaped safely without any harm done err on my part. lol

I put a dinamite stick in this metal pipe and put the whole thing on the gas cooker. Then i stood there waiting for it to expload. I eventually got bored because it never exploaded so i just binned the whole thing. I wonder if id still be alive if that thing was to go off. (I was around 8)

Actually, thinking about it... I did a lot of dangerous things.

The title say:Dangerous stuff you did as a child

I would think that would fit the title since we almost burned down the house :p we were just 7-8yrs old. Actually the fames were almost up to the ceiling it was lucky we were able to contain it.
If your still doing it than its just carelessness--my son left the fire on the skillet last week--if it wasn't for me smelling smoke we would had perrish that night. I sure it won't be the last time either--he likes to drink beer every night while he plays poker online. Anyway off my soapbox-- another time me and my child hood husband went on a police chase down town--after they caught us the cop mention he was tried and just wanted to get home to his wife and they send us home--didn't even give us a ticket........

LOL, yes and I had it happen when I was a kid. But it is something that does happen at drunken parties I have attended, not that I caused it, usually my uncle actually :D

That's 9 months - not many people can remember back that far. Is this calculated from conception or from birth?

That's not dangerous - that's called "survival". Parents are always trying to make you eat broccoli. Strangers don't mind if you have poutine and beer.

Same here, but we were burning spiders with a hairspray and a lighter. One of them ended up being burned in the bin.

I used to love burning stuff and blowing stuff up... I think i still do.

Anyone here do the spray your hand, arms, legs, etc down with hair spray and light it? That was always a fun game, who could last the longest w/o shaking the fire out.
