DataLife Engine template problem

HI,

I have a problem with my index.php showing content in the center of the page with 3 articles posted. I tracked it down that the articles are coming from the shortstory.tpl file. But how does that template load from the index.php page?

shortstory.tpl for a news intro and fullstory.tpl for whole news,
main.tpl for header/content/footer in most of cases, but there's
no telepaths and w/o knowing actual site address you're the only
person able to see it; @DIV-based site design it can be different.

Thanks to dyv the problem has been fixed. A setting in the admin panel to not display articles on main page. I appreciate it dyv. Though I have gone in and looked around and I still cannot find where that option is. Mind sharing where to find that?

Thank you for the reply. I still do not see it. Topic review? What do you click on in the admin control panel to get there? I never saw this part ever. I thought I clicked on every area numerous times in the control panel. I have no idea where that is.

Ahh okay... i see it now. It is an option on every news article. Another question now. I have the article edit option to allow edit news article in admin panel for users because without the admin panel they cannot update images.

But now I need to remove that field "Show article in main page " with the checkbox so that users cannot click that field. Any ideas?

Ahh found the answer. Under group edit for users - articles.

That is funny. I never thought this was a functional site. It looks like a non-functioning parked web page to me. As far as sending a pm? I cannot even find any articles. Never got a confirmation email and I contacted the site's contact email and never heard back.

Check for new posts and got this " No articles found or you do not have access to them."

So it seems to be a dead site for sure!!
