Dead links page

    I probably did myself untold damage. I had an old web page tucked away on my remote server with dead links to my old pages that were completely removed. The page was sitting there with dead links from May 2005. I asked Google to remove it's cached version and the process is still pending.
    Now once it gets removed, what is the next thing to do. I am considering putting it back and adding "NO INDEX NO FOLLOW" tags so I can remedy the problem with other search engines.
    The site in question is well out of sand box. So I am suspecting that was one of the reasons why I had PR 0 with both Google and Yahoo.
    If I am right about reasons for having PR 0. How long it will take to show signs of improvement with likes of Google and Yahoo?
