It all comes down to social media outlets like Facebook and X, which was formerly Twitter. People are so lazy now, they want everything in the one place, making forums somewhat redundant.

I'm personally not a fan of the layout of such platforms, nor do I think very highly of the mindset of the users on Facebook either. It's just a mess, and receiving pointless notifications all the time is kind of spammy.

I remember in 2003, there used to be some 50+ members logged in at once, but then message boards gradually faded in popularity thanks to things such as Windows Messenger, and then of course, the aforementioned platforms.

    Before that, it was Myspace.

At least people here are acknowledging the forum is dead. Sometimes, webmasters can never swallow their pride and let go of something they clearly no longer care about. They will leave a forum up as an archive or whatever, but forget to turn off posting. So then people with no lives can go and mess it up.

Like, you know? This total shitdump, here...
