Delete Blog and Migrate Posts to Site?

    Hey all,

    I had a question for those who know more about this subject.

    I have a large site that also has a blog. However I was thinking of deleting the blog and converting all the posts into articles on the site.

    My question is, will deleting the blog affect my ranking? I'm getting pretty good traffic to both the site and blog (the site is PR1, blog is PR0). What can it affect for good or bad?

    It's almost certain that your rankings will be affected. I've done similar in the past - converting blogs to sites and vice versa and it's always put me back a few pages in the rankings. You COULD come back even stronger, but unfortunately that's not always the case - especially if you're getting rid of a blog.
