Deleted URL Channels and AdSense Ads Disappear

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by byteventures, Aug 19, 2007.

    Yesterday I decided to give URL channels a try, but opted not to use them because I would have to update all of my AdSense codes. I deleted the URL channels and all of a sudden my ads do not appear. Actually, the link units appear but the ad units do not.

    Could someone please let me know if this has happened in the past. Also, if you could review my site and let me know if you see any ads on the left or right sidebar under "sponsored ads", that would be great.

    Here's the link (notice the link units at the top):

    Thanks in advance for your replies!

    You need to pull the channel code from your advertising code in your page. It will not show any ads being you deleted that channell. Each ad on your page has this channel code in it.

    I would get the code again from adsense and put it back on your site. Just to make sure you have correct one.

    Thanks guys! I did replace the code after deleting the channels, so it seems like Google has not updated the code.

    (Also, I tried to delete the channel line and the ads still do not appear.)

    URL channels are for tracking only, not for displaying ads, not sure what went wrong here.

    Looking in to your code:
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "";
    google_ad_width = 120;
    google_ad_height = 600;
    google_ad_format = "120x600_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    google_ad_channel = "";
    google_color_border = "CFC9B2";
    google_color_bg = "CFC9B2";
    google_color_link = "660000";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "E1771E";
    //-->
    </script>
    Code (markup):
    I don't see any Publisher ID?? Hello?

    Where as you have Pub id for adlinks:
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "ca-pub-ID-CHANGED";
    google_alternate_color = "CFC9B2";
    google_ad_width = 468;
    google_ad_height = 15;
    google_ad_format = "468x15_0ads_al";
    google_ad_channel = "";
    google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_link = "660000";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "E1771E";
    //-->
    </script>
    Code (markup):

    I purposely removed my code...figured it would be best not to openly publish that information in the forums.

    you must remove the channel from your adsense code.

    just create a new code after you delete the adsense channel
