    Chocolate is king. Chocolate cake, chocolate brownies or chocolate cream pie...they are all good! If I have to choose, I suspect that I would choose chocolate cream pie.

    Custard pies are the bomb but in NZ most pies are savoury (steak and cheese being my favourite) in what Americans call "hand pies". As a nation we haven't really embraced sweet pies. As a kid, family-sized apple pies were common but most people would do apple crumble rather than mess with pastry these days.
