First of all both Facebook and Twitter are important social media tools for promoting a website. Facebook Fan Pages are an invaluable tool for building your professional reputation. They can be used for posting updates, articles, links, pictures and other types of multimedia as well as discussions. Twitter is a micro-blogging network where you can post catchy punch lines to arouse the interest of potential customers to visit your website.

 

Both Facebook & twitter are social media sites, but have many different options. Both are different and people use them according to their needs. Facebook is more for marketing and Twitter is for short ongoing conversations as of my think.

 

Facebook and Twitter are two very different platforms imo, which complement each other. Facebook appeals to social animal to connect your friends and family and to stay in touch, and can be very effective tool in marketing also. Twitter on the other hand is much more immediate, and lay down somewhere between email, instant messaging and blogging. Both can be effective tools to use, and even more effective when used together.

 

Go and look at them instead of posting troll threads, asshole.

 

twitter is more like a microblogging website. facebook is more like a complete social website.

 

if you looking to bring a great amount traffic to your website i suggest twitter its quick and easy.. if you looking create your own community for your own i suggest facebook

Both Facebook and twitter are social networking sites but both are different with each other. In Facebook you can connect to your friends and family, can use Facebook applications, instant messaging, networking and much more but these facilities are not available in twitter thats why Facebook is most favorite social networking site in the world and it is more popular in youth.

 

Why don;t you give them a try. you will know yourself

 

Both sites are doing awesome job and apart from comparison. But in chat facility , Facebook is better than twitter.

 

On facebook, it requires two-way verification for sharing the communication between two people. If someone rejects your request, then you can't see some more about that people because some people sticks with strong privacy settings. But on twitter, you can see anything of anybody, there is no privacy.

For Fan Pages or Semi Static Websites, I would say Facebook is definitely one of the best platforms. They appear in search engines quite often too. Twitter imo is being too heavily used by link spammers these days.

 

Facebook and twitter are both social networking sites. The difference between the two is mainly the functions. Facebook has a fan page which you can upload pictures and videos. While in twitter, its just a short messages. But, because these two are the top most used by people, these two are effective way of promoting your site. Its a matter of how you use it and of course the quality content that you are sharing to others.
