Difference between facebook and twitter

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what is difference between facebook an twitter.

 

They're two different sites

Facebook is a full-blown social networking site with it's own structure, modus operandi, and and terminology. Twitter is totally different.

Facebook is a really person to person (that know each other) social network. So people see messages of their friends. But there are "groups" that everybody can "like". And then they see messages from that group.
With twitter people see the messages of any person they follow or tags people use in their messages. And they can only post short messages and links. Twitter is much more for commercial use than facebook in my opinion.

Facebook is a less annoying version of Twitter. But really, facebook is more pictures and twitter is more like an sms.

 

FB and twitter have a huge difference.. FB is much known for common people while twitter is commonly used by the famous people to share what is happening to them with their followers.

I think there is not a very big difference between them.The only difference i personally think is that the facebook is used by every other people and twitter is used by a very small crowd of people and which is also famous as such.

Facebook has more than 500 million active users and having great features, apps, services etc. that makes it more attractive & user friendly. While Twitter is a micro blogging social site.

 

Facebook allows you to have one on one conversation (though other people can peep into it) on the other hand twitter is like having a conference (where everyone is invited to share his opinions)...
The best part of Facebook is you can personalise your profile with your images, videos and many other applications while twitter is still not providing this facility (though you can share you albums using third party services!!)

 

you can play game, chat, send email and etc on facebook social network platform. you can update your statue and keep follow on twitter.

 

Facebook is a more traditional social networking site that let u upload pictures, friends and post comments among the other. Twitter is also a social networking site which is famous for its micro blogging features that allow user to post message from a browser or from mobile.
Posting tweets is a vey easy operation where you can just post anything whenever you like using your mobile phone. Where as Maintaining a Facebook profile takes a lot more effort because you would need to update or add pictures to keep your profile current and this usually means using a computer or a laptop.
But if we talk about popularity in media twitter has an edge over facebook. There are many famous people who uses twitter more then the facebook. Twitter is even used by TV shows to get feedback from there audience while facebook get few mention in the media.
Facebook is very popular but mainly in young people while Twitter has skyrocketed in popularity and is even used by renowned people and politicians
