    Just wondering anyone here got banned by digg? If so, is it possible to restore it?

    My account has also got banned there. They actually ban your ip. You need to change your ip and create a new account.

    Have you created a new account based on different IP? If yes, any problem so far? And how long have you been created the new account?

    I created new account using different user name, after using for about one month or so, my account got banned again.

    well they see both the IP adress of where it was created, and the IP adress of where u are using the account. u will basicly need to avoid using the ip adress of where u used the account or u created it. that's probably the only way to get around it.

    Well, one way to get banned is if you get reported. For example, if you go to comments, and if you burry someones comment a link will appear to "report" the member. If someone gets so many (Im not exactly sure how many) reports then that someone will get banned. Another way is if you submit anything inapproporiate: no adult sites, pictures, videos, etc., no child pornography, no spam...

    Honestly, I am not sure what is the reason that my account was banned. Emailed them for assistance but reply was received. I guess they don't even bother to reply.

    To me, digg is a good place to get back links and to get your webpage indexed quickly. That's all. I don't get many referral traffic from digg. And I don't the traffic is targeted enough.

    I never comment on anything. I never post adults sites, pictures or videos, just web page only. But I did digg blog entry which contains the same article that I submitted to ezine. Maybe they consider that as spam, I don't know.

    I got banned before and i called them explaining to them that I don't know what happens. They have restored my account.

    I got banned twice already.

    Digg don't give you hard links anyway so what's the worst that could happen?

    How much traffic do you ever get from Digg anyway?
