Digg::Does anyone use this::

Hey guys.
Does anyone use dig (where you submit an article and it get's digged(until in the front page)).

Well if you don't you should.

I used it this morning, and my page impressions went up UP UP.
No clicks yet, but don't worry, I'm getting there.

I used to get 20 page impression a day (I'm still new with this, so don't laugh please), and today I got like 120.

Does anyone know about any other page like that?
Digg seems to be only about technology, but I write other articles to.

Seriously, I you haven't tried it, it works.

 

I've used it before but wasn't really thrilled with it. Didn't notice any traffic increase after submitting artciles. (But then again they probably just didn't make it to the front page).

It is a neat idea, but I didn't find it very useful from a reading pint of view either.

 

I have used digg 3 or 4 times and always saw very noticeable traffic spikes, even without getting to the front page.

You get to the frontpage and your traffic will skyrocket. Someone dugg a thread here in the yahoo forums once and you would see over 700 people viewing the forum.

 

That's awsome. I really want to get on the front page. That would be great.

I've got link from digg.com on March 2005 (at front page), just one day .. my traffic raised from average 700 unique visitors to 2200 unique visitors.
I've got about $ 45 that day from adsense that's twice as usual!

Be very careful with getting traffic spikes if you use Adsense - Google may just slap a ban on you for an unusual jump in traffic i.e. 700 unique visitors to 2200 unique visitors.

 

I've never heard of Google canceling an account because of a traffic spike. Traffic spikes are a normal part of the Web. If your site gets linked to from slashdot, traffic goes through the roof. There's no problem with that. A CTR spike may be different, however.

 

my site being dugg more than 10 times, 2 of them make to the frontpage, which is my unique visitors jump from 6,000 to 15,000 for 3 days in a row. Now, I still get at least 100 visitors from them everyday. So its really good place to promote your site but make sure that the news/articles that you submitted is interesting and unique or it will just ignored

digg is easy traffic, but expect click? Forget it. Bandwidth vampires!

 

from my experience, I get lots of clicks from digg visitors too because they are 1st time visitors and more curious compared to return visitors

My traffic went crazy. It went from like 70 a day, and got 300. And my article didn't even make it to the front page.
I'm working on an article right now (like 5 pages) so maybe I'll get on the front page.

But the bad thing is, that out of all those people, I only had one click
But a start is a start.

The music articles don't get a lot of diggs. It's sad. But oh well.
Thanx to digg, I just earned my first 3.00 dollars (lol).

I never heard of them until today. Couldn't resist, had to try it out. Posted a link to an article in a blog I participate in and had 400 people in under 30 minutes. Never made it to page 1 either. There's no ads on the site I sent them to so no idea how "click prone" any of the digger's are.

 

digg is flooded with huge amount of spammers today.
