That is Tepoztlan. They have a mountain called "Tepozteco". If you visit Tepoztlan and you don't climb up the Tepozteco you really didn't visit Tepoztlan. There is a piramid on the top of the mountain and people say that you get good energy if you hang around there, but it is really a tough journey, it takes quite a bit of effort to be able to reach the top. The town is also know for UFOs, everyone here seems to have seen one. There is even an urban legend that says that there is a secret entrance somewhere in the mountains where UFOs go in and out all the time, some kind of alien base.

lol... I agree that the guys over there are a bunch of snobs, but I wouldn't think they suck. Every time I have a tough technical question I go over there and post it, and get many opinions from the experts. They also seem to have the latest news about Google's world, I have found some very interesting information over there.

Of course, it isn't a place where you can start complaining about how google sucks, you will sure get into trouble if you do that.

Seems to me some of the people here are talking about WMW (WebmasterWorld) and others are talking about WPW (WebProWorld) -- hard to keep it straight -- especially since both can be equally annoying.

Someone's just mentioned to me that WMW also has an algorithm installed that supposedly checks up on the quality of the posts. When you don't meet the criteria, your post count won't increase

I know the Google threads about updates usually don't increase the post count, like the thread sitetutor, er Mike, killed there....for a few days which has been bombed with posts today, though I thought a moderator actually has to turn off the post count increase for a thread!! Yah, it's harder to PYPC there, as Mikes Post count shows!! :D:D

Oliver, are you doubting that they can implement an algorithm that actually works or are you doubting that they would try creating one. If so, I'd like to hear a possible reason why some people with 50+ posts only show about 5. Or let me personalize that a little bit more:

I have made 25 posts and show only 1 LOL

For the people without an account, copy/paste the url in any of the SE's searchboxex and just click the link.

For this particular url use Yahoo, as the others don't have it indexed.

It's not an automatic algo though isn't it. It's a rating system - with humans doing the actual quality checks.

They have been cutting down on the post numbers in big threads for *years*

I have no idea if it's automatic or not, just the guys in there believed that it was.
