DigitalPoint moderator disgraces the forum and all mankind

The D-P Moderator jokingly known as "TOPS" makes a promise and then tries to weasel out of it...

This is not only a disgrace to the words "TOPS" but also to the reputation of the forum known as DigitalPoint and the future of democracy.

It's at times like this that it is important to remember that it is as important to keep your promises as it is to spot the promises that others make but can't possibly keep.

Having said that I still think you should get some recognition for your effort.

ps. Most important is not to make promises you can't keep, but we all (well obviously not all) know that.

Minstrel - you're technically right. Tops is confused because it says 1000 replies and since there's 1 post, and 1000 replies, his is technically post #1001 and reply #1000.

It depends on the initial wording of the deal. If it was who gets the #1000 post or who gets the thousandth reply...

 

The initial wording of the deal very clearly says "post".

TOPS is very clearly a weasel.

The only thing that is clear out of this whole sorry mess is that TOPS cannot be trusted...

Yes I should have said 'replies' rather than posts, it would have made things easier but all that aside, I CAN'T EVEN GIVE ANYONE 10 FREE VOTES.Not even myself (as the rightful winner ) As I said before the 1000th even surfaced, it was a bogus offer.

A seasoned politician like Minstrel obviously takes this opportunity and blows it out of proportion just for self benefit. Good on you. My bad. You've won the poll anyway, congrats.

 

It's a sad sad day for DP when there's a whole thread dedicated to some misdemeanor in a thread containing a poll. As TOPS said let's get back to some quality posts!
