Digitalpoint so popular?

Unbelievable. Traffic is close craigslist. I don't know much about this site, but very surprised big traffic and backlink volume.. I can only say wow to this.

 

Me too.......wow! Shawn is awesome, how does he do it!? He must share his secrets with us.

 

I have a lot of things to say to Shawn also, but I will save them for our next PM war

It's not that Digital Point is popular, they have some nut that posts continually about Shakria, Paris Hilton, Led Zeppelin, Elvis, Elle MacPherson, Bush & Cheney, John Kerry and argues with Compar and GTech all the time.

Im also stumped here. Alexa says Digitalpoint gets more (way more) traffic than even Slashdot..

don't be fooled ...most of it is Anthony.
his computer is thoroughly contaminated with spyware..including alexa toolbar.

 

Does that go to show readers of slashdot are a bit smarter than your average DPer? Who in their right mind uses the Alexa toolbar anyway?

 

This forum is great, only been a hear a while but loving it already!

 

I like the site very much too.

My forums don't come close to your volume of traffic. I am lucky if I get 10 posts per day. I don't know how your moderators keep up!

This section can give you an overall idea on how many non members come by.

 

We ban people as soon as they even think of misbehaving We have pre-cogs hired and working closely with us.

 

The other day there were 79 or so actual live bodies online at the same time, I think that is the record so far, at least from what I have seen.

I obviously saw that coming and decided to split coz I knew what was gonna happen... Google Forum with 20 identical threads saying 'Google Down?'.

 

And then 20 with "PR back Up"

It was entertaining to see a lot of regular posters come in a few days later and start a thread asking Where PR had gone?

 

So who broke it then?

Googleguy gave an explanation which was quoted here but it wasn't all that exciting. I think they were working on something else that brought it down.

Maybe soemone will provide a link as there are too many threads to search.

 

Can someone acknowledge him so he will feel "validated" ?
