The only reason any company, anywhere "needs" ISO 9001 Certification is if their customers demand it or even just strongly prefer it. However, if your customers do not care about it, then neither should you.

As an aside, I have known the CEO's of a number of small manufacturing or service companies who needed to get ISO 9001 certified because of the markets they were selling to (e.g., Aerospace.) It is expensive, time-consuming, aggravating, and more. However, they all agreed on one thing: being ISO 9001 certified had no real impact on the actual quality of their products or services; it seems like it is mostly about reporting and documentation as opposed to improving processes or ultimate outcomes.

In general, ISO certification is nothing more than job security for bureaucrats that are not qualified to do anything more than push paper and bully others around. It effectively decreases quality by siphoning off money that can be used for quality control and improvement of products.

It is more about your brand and reputation. It's an accredited certification used in 178 countries. This quality management system indicates to new potential customers, that you are on the ball and are legit.

ISO 9001 certification is not a legal requirement and it's not mandatory for businesses in Saudi Arabia. Unless there is a reason as @jrbiz above said. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended as it demonstrates a business's commitment to quality and can increase credibility with customers and stakeholders. Some government agencies and large corporations may require ISO 9001 certification as a condition for doing business and buying something from you. Thus, whether a business needs ISO 9001 certification or not depends on its goals, industry, and customer base.

The decision for a business in Arab countries to obtain ISO 9001 certification depends on several factors. ISO 9001 is a globally recognized standard for quality management systems and is intended to help organizations ensure that they consistently meet the needs and expectations of their customers and other stakeholders.

While ISO 9001 certification is not mandatory for businesses in Arab countries, it can provide a competitive advantage by demonstrating to customers and partners that the organization has implemented robust quality management processes. ISO 9001 certification can also help businesses to improve their internal processes and increase operational efficiency, leading to cost savings and increased profitability.

In addition, some industries in Arab countries, such as manufacturing, construction, and healthcare, may have specific regulations or customer requirements that require ISO 9001 certification as a prerequisite for doing business. In these cases, obtaining ISO 9001 certification may be necessary to ensure compliance and maintain credibility in the market.

Ultimately, the decision to pursue ISO 9001 certification should be based on the specific needs and goals of the business. While it may not be necessary for all organizations, it can be a valuable tool for improving quality and competitiveness in certain industries and markets.

There are multiple AI content checkers, including one from ChatGPT. Your text rang in at 99.9% likely to be AI-generated. The reason that I ran it through a couple of these checkers is because it was obvious to me, at first read, that you were AI-spamming this thread with your fake post.

Not sure that the AI spam issue has ever been addressed, specifically, in DP's rules but the person who posts such AI-generated content on it is viewed as a newbie idiot who does not understand the membership here.

and what do you base that bold statement on?

While we may need to add something specifically to the rules if you're posting AI generated content or even spun content then
    1. running up post count - because why else are you posting it?
    2. inappropriate post - posting without fact-checking or having an actual opinion on the content otherwise you'd just type up your own thoughts
    3. Plagarism - you're posting content from elsewhere
So, take your pick, in the meantime I'm going to leave your carefully considered opinions in this thread as a discussion we can refer back to, but expect that it will be deleted at some point.
