can somebody explain to what your site needs to have to get people to buy text links? I'm sorry if this is the wrong section.

Well - let me put it this way - it's a combination of both. Exceedingly high value is placed on pagerank here, although it is a relatively meaningless measure. Traffic only applies if you are selling the traffic along with the link.

So, as a seller, work on achieving and promoting your pagerank, if it is PR6 or higher. Otherwise, work on building link data, and using great backlink data to sell your site.

    Hope that helps!

I believe on DP buyers are more inclined to purchase links based on pagerank rather than traffic.

New sites linked to higher PR sites will benefit .................once you have an established quantity of links, you will then see the PR move up on your own site

Text links? Pagerank. And while you may not get traffic as click throughs from the links themselves, they will help you rank better for your target keywords in search engines....and that's traffic after all:)

High-PR links wll *not* help you rank better for your target keywords. That is a misunderstanding. In fact, Cutts and other Googlers have sad repeatedly that PR is not linked to search results.
