    Do you not know at least one person who is so full of life that they fill you up with their vitality? I know a few like this and one cannot ever feel lonely around these people.

    Actually I do know one person who is always full of life. A middle-aged man who likes interacting with others all the time, people clown him when he's not around because he puts too much importance on socializing with his friends. That's why he's divorced.

    Other than that, I wouldn't know of any such person. I'm not saying people don't feel full of life or happy but those are isolated moments, people are quite unsatisfied in general. The satisfaction disappeared when we realized there's more to life than just personal development. Like material goods, only material goods provide a false feeling of satisfaction. It's a magic circle.

    The guy you described sounds very much like one of my former room mates.I have 2 spare rooms which I rent out to "temporary" lodgers to make extra income.While I'm always happy to get new room mates,I'm equally happy when a month or two later they leave.:) I believe having temporary room mates come and go is one of the main reasons I don't feel lonliness.It truly is the best of both worlds.I have company but also eventually get my solitude back.

    Often people get in a routine and into a rut,sometimes that can lend itself to lonliness.Perhaps you can join a club or volunteer.That way you'd meet new people.

    Having cyber friends can help alleviate lonliness to a point,but they can never replace friends in the flesh.:)

    My parents are no longer alive,but I often call my aunt in France when I have something bothering me.That is good that you call your mom,with her to talk to you need never be lonely.:)

    I can well understand your point of view.When I don't have my rooms rented out I am alone.I rather like it,it is peaceful.When one is alone one is master of one's destiny.You don't have to make excuses or ask permission,you just do as you please when you please.
