Do you have a corporate website?

I am sure people here have a corporate website that showcases all (or some) of their web properties.

Is this a good or bad idea? I think it's a good idea for some reasons but then again I know how "secretive" you are supposed to be about your sites...

    So what's your opinion?

    Linking all my sites together.
Now I just link those sites that are relevant to each other.

There are some seo experts who say to link all your sites, other seo experts say no.

Some seo experts say have one main domain with links to all your other domains, other seo experts say not to do this.

Since I do not have a main domain that I use, I don't worry about linking.

I'd say it really depends on your company. Some situations warrant it and some do not. You really have to decide that for yourself... Think about the pro's and cons in your situation. For example, if you run a reputable software company, and you run a sex site... it would only do you harm to your software site to know that they are at all connected... However, a series of
B2B services, where a client from one, may easily become a client of another, would obviously see some benefits from linking them together...

Personally if they aren't related , there is no way I would do that. Unless you are actually selling your services, you are inviting problems.

That being said I am developing a whole group of related sites which constitute a network. There won't be heavy interlinking but they will link to each other. I am not doing it for any type of SEO benefit (in fact I may use no follow), but the conversion benefit far outweighs any potential SE issues.

I think it's a good idea to show your corp web site! why not? More advantages then disadvantages doing so IMO.

I'm starting to think it would be nice to have one.

I wouldn't put links to my sites on it, but it would be more a company profile than anything else. The main thing that's holding me back is spending the money, I'd want it to look professional like all my other sites, but as it's not going to make money I don't want to spend any on it right now. It would also give people something to look at when they bug me for my site URLs.
