i dont know if this is the right section, but im looking for a good email manager, ive got some opt in customers email addresses that i want to email.
the email manager will need to have a database, that the customers can opt out of, as well as be able to send html emails, it will also have an opt in box, that will automatically put emails into the database

    any ideas ?

Dada Mail is a good free solution which may fit your requirements. The drawback is there is no personalisation in the emails.

no, the sponsor company does weekly offers etc, the banner changes every week, it goes back to the main store, so i need to send that with the affiliate code, its definitely not spam as theyve already bought etc etc, the sponsor sends a new "banner" every week with new offers

but i also need to send emails made up of templates

    cheers

I think it depends on what you're really looking for for an email tool.

I've used a few that are cheap and fairly simple to use:

Vertical Repsonse (easy to use and costs about .5c to 1c per email depending on what you're doing)

Constant Contact (nice tool, solid set of options and customization)

Cooler Email (certainly not my first choice as it's kind of clunky, but it works)

    hi
ive just had Dada Mail installed, its got a few good points such as automatically deleting bounces , and a few other features , but i dont think it is exactly what i was looking for, i need an email manager that incorporates a database, i.e. 1 main database that consists of all subscribers etc, but where you select which ones to send a specific mailshot to, so the database will have seperate "tick boxes" or whatever to select for each segment of the database you want to send to, in dadamail you would have to have a seperate mailing list for each type of subscriber, because it doesnt allow you to send a mailshot to just one segment of a mailing list, so if you wanted to send it to 5 mailing lists then you would have to go through the procedure 5 times instead of just once.
ive only just had dada mail installed, and its got quite a few features, but i dont think it has enough,
let me know if you know of one with a database
    cheers

    ps
do you know of an email template system etc that doesnt require html knowledge, the template would just need about 15 product pictures imported into 15 boxes in the template, and the product and affiliate link codes behind each of the individual pictures, i can easily get the link codes etc, but i dont know any html
    cheers
