    I want to creat a article directory, but i just use wordpress and the theme nameed article directory,but now i do not know how to add authors that they can submit articles too.
    Could you help me and tell me how to do it?

    Users can sign up using the login form included with the Article Directory theme. If you want to add your own users then just go into WP-admin and go to 'Users'

    You mean when someone regesiter in my site, i should go to "users" to change the role?Or i should go to download the role manager.

    Yes, you should go to Users menu. Or you can go to Settings->General and set "New User Default Role" to Contributor or whatever.
