It's an English word, of course ... An abbreviation of the city's Old American Kndrhok located in the state of New York in the United States of America.
Reason for the prevalence of this word that once ran for president in the United States of America the son of this city, and his name .. Martin van Boudin.
This man used the words (I'm Old Antahbua Kndrhok) in his campaign, then shortened the phrase to:
    (I'm elected O.k.)
It was his supporters chanted: Ok .... Ok
Until it became this word means the approval and acceptance
It is worth mentioning that Martin van Bowden succeeded in the presidential election, and this word was probably a reason for his success

    1. There was no US President with the name Martin van Bowden or Martin van Boudin so from that perspective your post is total nonsense.

    2. We had a President with the name Martin Van Buren.

But, even if you were trying to speak about Martin Van Buren, the history of the word is disputed at best. But if you want to believe that version is it okay with me, but at least try to get some of the basic facts and names of your theory correct.

Is this something you just copied from somewhere, it seems like a really random thing to start talking about especially since you obviously do not even know the facts you are trying to convey very well?

The word okay comes from oil merchants in America that used to write the bills as "oil korrect",which basically meant it had been inspected. We would spell it today as "oil correct".The first known usage is on a 1790 bill of sale from Tennessee. This of course is many years before Van Buren ran for president.
The type of oil I am referring to is heating, lighting, and cooking oil.The words eventually became abbreveated to "o.k."

If you check out on Wikipedia, you can get more information on the word OK and how it came into usage. There are so many incidents that actually brought the word OK into use that one cannot credit its popularity to just one incidence.

During historic civil wars, when troops returned without any casualities a writing was put up so all can see which read "0 Killed". From here we get the expression "O.K" which means all is good.

that's right that I copied it from somewhere, but maybe I am near from the right because I checked the wiki page about the word (okay)
he wrote many words which the O.K came,
    1-initials of ( Oll Korrect ) a "facetious alternation " of all correct....as @spoildiva said
2-initials of ( Old Kinderhook ) a nickname for president Martin Van Buren wich was a reference to Van Buren's birthplace Kindhook NY
    3-Choctaw word okeh or hoke
    4-Wolof and bantu word waw-kay.........
at finally it's nice to know how the word came from me or from you .....thanks for sharing
