Do you like comedy ???

Yes i like comedy a lot in movies and my favorite comedy movie is the johnny English movie from Hollywood.

 

Why Not. I love to get disabled by google. And I am enjoying with that. I can not go for a permanent adsense account because google is not my company. ha ha ha ha ha.

 

I think that comedy is good when they are using real stories and not inventing stuff.

I have always been a fan of stand up comedy. I loved it even before I knew what it was. In addition to stand up, I also like sketch, sitcom, movie, and now the internet is quickly becoming a medium where comedy can flourish.

However, I have not really answered why I love it so much. I love it because good comedy (i.e. comedy I tend to like) is usually based on some universal truth we all believe or know to be true. For example, the reason we love watching Leno, Letterman, or Stewart (depending on who you turn to for your late night fix) is that they are talking about and saying what we already believe. Despite the White House assuring us they know what their doing in Middle East, Iraq, or whatever we really do not believe it. Of course, the right wing talking heads are cheer leading the White House message, but you know they are watching the late night comics and laughing along like the rest of us. I do not want to advocate a political party agenda, but I do want point out what it seems most of us perceive to be the truth according to political polling.

Recently, I was watching one of the Sunday morning political shows and the host asked if late night political comics are turning people off from the political process implying further voting decline. I think it may actually increase voter turnout because these comics are talking about politics / politicians in terms most people can identify with. For example, President Bush is often labeled "dumb", Vice President Cheney as a "thug", and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld as "incompetent." These are terms people understand and it encourages them to take an interest in politics, which enables them to form their own conclusions about what is happening in the country and world. I do not have a political agenda so I think these characterizations are accurate, but these labels have stuck implying most people believe them to be true.

I love comedy even more today because it enables us to communicate with each other more honestly and openly. Even though I have dabbled in it, I am not comedian. Maybe one day I get back in to it, but until then I will be get my laughs and some news from my favorite comedians.
