Do you sell your hosting when you sell a blog ?

I was researching today on blogs and this thought came to me. Naturally, I used google for the answer, but it did not give me a clear answer. So, does anyone have an idea?

As of right now, I don't believe that hosting is sold.

Can someone help me out ?

Nope. Hosting is separated from the site like blog or website itself. When you sell your blog, the other party will have their own hosting where you can transfer to their hosting. If not then you can recommend the hosting to transfer the blog over.

If you are doing your own hosting then you can sell it as a package together with the blog.

You can explain how easy it is setup a website with what the hosting offers. A great example would be a youtube video to educate when selecting hosting companies and the difference.

Hosting in general should be separate. Its on the buyers side to already have hosting, when buying your blog.

Well and as most of the time the correct answer is it depends. Most sites are sold without webspace because most sellers are developing other projects on their space, so it would make no sense to transfer all of them.

But for some projects especially if they have lot's of custom scripting done including database connections it can be a good idea to take over the hosting of the original site to understand the connections and be able to transfer the site without loosing all content/ features
