    I was raised in Los Angeles but I moved to Indianapolis, and now Atlanta. Many people here in Atlanta are not from here.

    So I was wondering how many people actually stay in their hometown.

    Isn't there some statistic that a huge percentage of people will live and die within 30km/miles of where they were born? I tried to Google it, but I couldn't find it, and even if I could it wouldn't mean anything.

    I live about 150km from the place I consider my "hometown".

    Nope,i moved away from my hometown near London decades ago and live in a small village miles away from any towns or cities,i have to say it was the best move ever.

    I live in my home town
    I lived for 5 years in the bigghest city in my country (around 2.5 milion population) i didn't like it to croudy moved back to my hometown 150k population ...

    I currently live in the same town I grew up in.. - now I have lived in several different places I just landed here again thinking I would like to move again maybe NY? We shall see where life takes me.
