Yes I believe cause they don't sell their software to the public, from its site: The Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes openness, innovation and participation on the Internet.

making money is not a sin. afterall they had their own bills to pay at the end of the month.

we should be grateful for providing all such goodies free of cost.

As long as they find a way to spend any revenue they bring in every year, then yes, they're a non-profit organization. Non-profits sometimes pay executives huge salaries to balance the books any time they're in danger of bringing in more money than they spend.

Non-profit, ironically, doesn't mean 'no' profit, it actually means they don't make paper profits per say - and what they do make is 're-invested'. That could mean charity, projects or human capital. In theory, they are supposed to be for the overall good, but in practice they end up paying huge salaries to top executives and management. I did some work for a non-profit that had 8 figure executive pay

First you have to know what non-profit organization means.
I know what it is and here is the explanation from Wikipedia:
So let met explain it. The Mozilla foundation will not pay out his owners and shareholders. All the money (donations, contracts, etc.) is for the foundation to improve the services.

My opinion: Yes, I believe Mozilla is a non-profit organization. I have donated to them and I know they will use my money to improve the service to it's users.

    KEYwords: surplus funds

Surplus funds is not what executives are paid out of, they get shelled out 6-8 figure salaries from 'necessary' expense accounts.

they make money, and I am sure, that someone, like the president, gets paid. I would think, its mostly, from donations.

Who told you that being a president is a non-profit public job? Presidents get pay a lot of money, plus in many conuntries they get a lifetime pension for work only those 4 years.

About Mozilla, If the money they are winning is not in direct ways from the millions of users (like ads on the browser or something like that) we shoulnt care about it.

Um, he is talking about the president of a non-profit organisation (like the president of the Mozilla Foundation, if they have one).

Anyway, for-profit vs non-profit has nothing to do with how high the salaries are (though there is a correlation, of course).

It has everything to do with what is done with surplus funds. If they are paid out to owners, then it's for-profit. If the funds remain within the organisation then it's non-profit. Non-profit organisations don't have owners; they own themselves.

non-profit just means they they are focused on there audience (users) and they don't take any money from the government. They raise all there money though donations.

Its understandable that there are some non-profit organizations because it makes sense to build a product that a lot of people love whilst not charging for it and being able to accept donations to keep it running. Of course one way or another they make profit but unlike others it is completely voluntary.
