    It depends. I have a few friends I met online that I'd give the password of my email to. (Or something as value to me)

    There are some who won't even know even what my email is.

    You can trust a person when you feel he/she is trustworthy. Just be observant, we don't know who really our true friends..even the friends we meet everyday cannot be trusted sometimes. The decision is all yours. Give a smart choice my friend :)

    I am a 63 yr old woman and I have found in my years of finding out the hard way, that trust is not given lightly. I can at this age I have 23 real friend's and that I have known each over 30 yrs. Time is the test of a true friend. I tell my friend's " I will not jump off the bridge with you, but I will be at the bottom to catch you when you fall. My 2 cents.
    There is no way I would trust anyone online.
