    Depends on the personality, I trust some online friends - not all - just like I would trust some real life friends.

    Depending on where you met the person, e.g. in a game or in a chat room, you've probably done more real talking to that person (conversation-wise) than some other people that you know in real life.

    If we differentiate between only online friend and actual face to face friend their is really a difference. That much rely at first we could not make. But also we can understand a good or bad after dealing after a period of time and sometime they from online friends become a real face to face friend. So we must rely and continue.

    Sad but true and it is a shame in my opinion. Unfortunately when you trust someone online from a social standpoint, you never know if it's gweedo with ulterior motives on the other end of the keyboard. A lot of bad people who can't function in everyday society hide behind their keyboards online so everyone should be careful when sharing their personal information when online in my opinion. With that said, there are very good people online as well and you can pretty much figure out who those people are in time just by sharing with them.

    On the other hand when introducing the root of all evil "Money" into the equation, you really can't trust anyone in my opinion especially online. This doesn't mean that you can't do business with them but caution should be exercised for sure.

    I dont trust online friends because you cant really get to know a person via internet. Sometimes face to face interactions are what really identifies a person.
