I actually use both, an Powerbook for work, an iBook for home, and a PC for my home media server.

I've got a PC running Windows and Linux (Dual Boot). I would love to be able to mess around with a Mac, but unfortunately they are darn expensive in comparison with PC pricing.

Powerbook and dual core G5 for work, an infected useless windows box at home..

I'm installing Linux on that and using it as a media server.

    PC.
All I do is check email and go on the net so I only need Windows to do that. Most of the time I use Palm OS though because I'm too lazy to walk to a computer.

iMac at home. It has the website software (Freeway Express).

    PC at the office.

Despite the greater costs for Macs, I much prefer them.

I use both. I'm thinking of getting one of the new intel Mac's. One things for sure window's is a pain in the ass. The mac os is way more stable. Linux is good also. If it wasn't for so many of my users having window's I'd ditch it.

Tell me about it - I made switch a couple of months ago...

Looking forward to the intel based mini macs when they're released...

I'm hoping they'll be a decent media center addition to mac os when it's released...

iBook, here. I just wish there were more of the free webdev tools available for Mac, but fortunately there are enough that I get by quite nicely. It was annoying waiting for a FF google toolbar for Mac!

Biggest gripe: iBook does not support dual-head display, which I am sad about, though (other Macs do).

    SEBASIC, you mean like FrontRow?

i have several macs at home, because i love macs! By the way to the ones saying macs are expensive, u can install mac os x (tiger) on your PC, in this link you will find all the information you might need; just order a copy a Tiger and try it. you will stop using Windows just after installing Tiger, believe me.

    hXXp://www .osx86project. org/

It works great. Even on a dell inspiron 600, tiger runs exactly like what it is... a Tiger ; )

if you wanna buy a new mac, the new imac/or macbookpro (macintel) you can install both OS on them, windows xp/or windows vista (beta) and Tiger. Apple doesnt like it but it is okay with them if you do it as the other day Apple news report said. I intend to do so as soon as my new macbookpro comes next month.

but really im so surprised about so many members still using PC, i thought most webmasters or any computer geek were mac users. my advice buy a mac as soon as your next Adsense comes, it will save you time due to its speed and great and easy to use interface. and you will also have a lot of professional software to improve your website/blog and make it look gorgeous in no time. best thing you can do! dont have money to buy a mac? try the link above and learn how to install it on ur Dell or any other pc that works with tiger. Just buy your copy of Tiger DVD on any apple store, quite cheap n useful if u dont have the money to buy a mac.

by the way, as i saw on the article on the New York Times about Digital Point, even the father of this forum/website is a mac user, as you can check on this photo
