    I'm looking for people to vote on the topic of travel agents - do you intend to use a travel agent to book your next vacation or will you organise the holiday yourself?

    I have not flown in some time but when I was flying regularly would book myself then go to travel agent to print ticket.

    Always felt safer with a ticket and itinary in my hot little hand.

    Here in US there is some magic number to quote if they overbook a flight. You are to go to gate, present ticket and announce the magic number which is probably the number of some regulation. Supposedly they have to get you out on next flight even if it means routing on another airline.

    I always demand cash refund as well. They will allow a greater value in travel vouchers but their are often restrictions on them. It costs airline little extra to put you on a flight that is not full. If they have to double what you paid for ticket that comes out of their pocket.

    If ever I'll be having my vacation in Tahiti before the end of the year I would rather plan it myself as early as now..
