Hello,

Does blogging bring traffic?

I'm thinking about starting a blog for my forum, AIOScene, where I write up articles and promote em and I link my forum on the blog or leave some sort of backlink to my forum. Would this method work? I'm trying to come up with good methods to promote my forum.

when someone asks why bloging? then I say I want to get my voice h eard by relevant poeple who are really interested in my thoughts thats way I create my own network and create trust of my business or name among these relevant people.

 

Yes, and not just traffic but quality backlink as well. But be sure to post relevant, unique and excellent content.

You write articles in the forum? You should write articles in the blog instead! A forum is a place for discussions among several other members. Well, its ok to write articles in a forum and others can discuss it; but what do you plan to write in the blog then? Same subject, same ideas? What will be the uniqueness then? I mean, as a reader, will you suggest me to visit your blog or your forum then? As a webmaster you have to clear this idea to the visitors to make the blog and the forum both successful.

I don't know about that: I use Wordpress software, myself, and several well-known bloggers who use it seem to do very well.
