Does GIMP work for windows vista (other alternatives)

    I was looking for a free graphics program and I have heard the best one was gimp. Does this program run on windows Vista? If not does anyone know any other free graphics programs that run on vista

    It probably does run on Vista, there wouldn't be much reason why it wouldn't. However, if it doesn't then there aren't any many other alternatives. There is a really cool new one coming out that is extremely beautiful but it's MAC only.

    If you're looking for a cheap alternative, you could use JASC Paint Shop Pro. It's really quite good in my opinion and does a job almost as well as Photoshop for most parts.

    there's always paint.NET which uses layers like photoshop and is a lot more advanced in features than the original paint. www.getpaint.net
