    Speaking from your experience of social bookmarking your content, pages etc...(Digg, Reddit)

    Does social bookmarking bring in targeted traffic for:
    -opt ins
    -sales (of info products for example)?

    (NOTE: I am not asking for social bookmarking for traffic through the link on your article - NOT for Link building SEO purposes- but traffic generated from the bookmarked content, as soon as you bookmark it)


    does social bookmarking bring you targeted traffic?
    does it get you a good number of optins?
    does it get you a good number of sales?

    can you share your strategies if you are doing well with social bookmarking to drive you traffic (so we can prevent making mistakes)

    In my experience, people come to read out of curiosity and then leave right afterwards. The bounce rate from these sources are extremely high.

    Search engine traffic is a bit different because people on search engines are constantly seeking to buy something, answers, etc.

    yes, it does help in bringing good traffic.. you can vote on other stories and inturn they visit your website and vote your stories. It also helps in bringing better traffic, so people repeatedly bookmark their websites.

    some social bookmarking sites like tagfoot,stumbleupon where you can form a network of friends and drive traffic to your website

    It does work, but you need to give value first if you're trying the free approach. myspace and facebook paid ads can work extremely well if you find the right demographic and product/offer to match.

    it really depends on your market and what type of things you are trying to sell.

    with social book marking you can get your article or blog seen by allot of people but they bounce very quickly so unless you have an ad or marketing plan that is designed to grabs peopls attention or curiosity in 3-5 seconds you wont have that much luck.

    so it depends on what your trying to promote

    I say one Word Social Bookmarking is waste of time if you want your Product to sell, Organic is the best traffic to sell any product.
