Does trading diggs & stumbles work?

So are those people who are trading diggs/stumbles actually getting on the front pages? Is it that easy? Have any of you ever been banned?

As long as you genuinely like the content you are digging/stumbling and provided it's of good quality it's fine.

If however you stumble useless content then you're heading for a ban.

I'll have to honestly say, from my experience - no. You're going to see spikes in your traffic but don't expect miracles. I think it's a waste of time.

I've never been banned. I got out before they started doing that.

I'll stumble/digg my own work now and again, but only if I am genuinely impressed with myself (lol).

It's better to write content that makes others want to stumble/digg it.

Yup you can get lots of traffic trading diggs and stumbles, but sadly they don't convert very well.

Sometimes a few diggs to get you going can really help.

I heard that accounts are being watched or banned for spamming and sharing stumbles, I was wondering how long it would take.

Well, the question is, should I do the trades to get the spike in traffic? I just don't want to get banned from those sites. What are the chances of that happening?

Diggs and Stumbles are good ways to launch your website. After its already out there, you won't see much.

Sure, traffic from social bookmarking site like digg or stumble doesn't really convert that well. It's definitely is a quick fix that will give you a short sugar rush of the traffic. I say it's not worth it to risk getting banned.
